Kerry Butler traveled to Bakersfield, California, to work with Highland High School on their production of Mean Girls. During a three-hour immersive rehearsal workshop, Kerry worked directly with the students on scene study, vocal technique and pedagogy, character development, and performance skills. She also shared firsthand insight into her experience originating three different roles in the Broadway production of Mean Girls, giving students a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on how she approached creating and differentiating each character.

Later that evening, Kerry joined the students onstage for their production, performing alongside them and celebrating the work they had developed together. The experience gave students the rare opportunity to learn from, rehearse with, and ultimately share the stage with a Broadway professional who helped bring Mean Girls to life on Broadway.
